  • Overview

    The Human Resources Recruiter will lead recruiting efforts for qualified potential applicants to fill open positions within the Company. This position will provide expertise and support to all hiring managers and department directors in facilitating searches, interviews, and new hire processing; as well as represent the Company publicly to prospective employees and employment staffing resources. The HR Recruiter will proactively recruiting by making outbound recruiting calls and seeking out networking/recruiting opportunities, in addition to receiving inbound recruiting calls and attending assigned networking/recruiting events, which may include public speaking or presentations to large groups. The HR Recruiter may also be responsible for providing HR Generalist back-up support as needed to several critical functions on the Human Resources Team on an as-needed basis.

     

    Responsibilities

    Under general supervision, and in accordance with Company policies, procedures and guidelines, this position will be responsible for the leadership, implementation and delivery of a comprehensive recruitment and search process including the following:

     

    • Establish and maintain legal and compliant procedures for permanent and temporary staffing requests for all full and part-time positions within the Company
    • Assist the hiring managers and department directors with writing legal and compliant job specifications and ensuring compliance with job classification codes, appropriate wage/salary ranges, and determining the responsibilities of each open position
    • Work closely with HR Manager and/or HR Director on developing/revising job descriptions as needed
    • Facilitate all searches by establishing parameters on the search process to ensure that the Affirmative Action Plan integrity is maintained
    • Develop and oversee a Company-wide college recruitment program
    • Meet expectations of all searches by qualifying internal candidates, sourcing external candidates through cost-efficient mediums and providing telephone, web-conference, or in-person screening of all candidates to ensure the basic job qualifications are met
    • Engage in and develop creative proactive recruiting techniques, making outbound recruiting calls and seeking out networking/recruiting opportunities, in addition to receiving inbound recruiting calls and attending assigned networking/recruiting events, which may include public speaking or presentations to large groups
    • Make recommendations of qualified candidates to hiring managers and/or department directors for review
    • Work closely with Staffing Coordinator to contact candidates and hiring managers to coordinate all interview schedules with applicants
    • Initiate background and reference checks, verifying employment eligibility and health clearances of final candidates
    • Work closely with Payroll Specialist and hiring manager and/or department director on appropriate compensation
    • Handle verbal offers and acceptances as well as preparing offer letter to final candidate
    • Oversee all new hire paperwork is completed and submitted for HR database and Payroll purposes
    • Schedule new hire orientation with HR Staffing Coordinator
    • Prepare recruitment reports to management and executives encompassing hiring results, pending job openings, costing, and turnover rates for various site locations; as well as applicant tracking data for affirmative action and/or other compliance reports
    • Organize and attend job fairs, as well as utilize other cost-efficient sourcing strategies to attract a diverse candidate pool
    • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with employee and Company information
    • Perform other duties associated with Human Resource functions as assigned by HR Manager and/or Director

    Qualifications

    • College degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications or related field is required; Professional Human Resources Certification is highly preferred
    • Educational qualifications may be substituted by 2-4 years of successful work in Human Resources in a recruiting function
    • Proficiency with various Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to intermediate skill levels in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Ability to effectively master functions within human resource databases and payroll systems. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and timekeeping systems are a plus
    • Pleasant customer service orientation, professional demeanor, well-groomed and professional attire required to represent the Company to prospective employees and general public
    • Must have excellent organizational, and multi-tasking skills, while being a self-starter with strong customer service and detail orientation
    • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, in written and oral forms, including telephone and e-mail, as well as demonstrate excellent presentation skills
    • For hospital settings, additional requirements may apply and change without notice, including, but not limited to, criminal background check, health clearance and hospital compliance training
    • Successfully passes Company drug testing program pre-hire and    thereafter on a post accident, periodic and/or random basis
